In Genesis, energy moves out from the center in concentric rings. Dark shadows of leaves hang over the surface marking the contrast between the light and dark elements of life. Rachael Romero made a second version called the The Beginning in blue and black, with no golden brown.

Rachael Romero came from Australia. She is known for her political work as an artist, her huge portraits of workers installed in the Canal Street Post Office in New York City, and as a wonderful arts educator.
